Students 60 or older
Students 60 or older may register for credit, on a space-available basis, for one undergraduate course per semester for $100 plus any relevant fees. Students must contact the COPACE office prior to registering for a course. Additional courses will be charged at full-tuition rates. The 60-or-older tuition benefit does not apply to independent study, directed readings, some off-campus programs or to graduate courses. Students wishing to be assured a space in class where enrollments are limited should pay full tuition when registering. (All students are encouraged to donate to this "over 60" program or any other COPACE scholarship program.)
Third-Party Benefits
COPACE accepts tuition reimbursement from Massachusetts Rehabilitation and the Department of Social Services. When registering for a course, students should submit the appropriate completed forms from the reimbursement agency.
Veteran's Education Program
All credit courses offered by COPACE are approved for eligible veterans under the provision of Chapter 38 Veteran's Administration Education Program. Veterans pay tuition and fees at the time of registration and are reimbursed by the Veteran's Administration (VA). Veterans eligible for assistance, or who think they may be eligible, should apply to the regional VA office, (800) 827-1000, before registering for classes.
Employee Reimbursement
Students who will be reimbursed by their employer must pay tuition and fees at the time of registration or make special arrangements with their student account representative. To ensure timely reimbursement, students must sign up for "early grades" at registration. COPACE will gladly submit all forms and grades necessary for student reimbursement.
City of Worcester Employee Program
Through a special agreement with the Executive Office of Human Resources, employees of the City of Worcester may pursue, at a reduced rate, an M.P.A. degree at Clark University/COPACE. Several courses per year are offered on site in Worcester City offices. Contact the Office of Human Resources in Worcester City Hall, or call the Graduate Programs staff at (508) 793-7215.
Course Withdrawal Refunds
The student must fill out a course drop slip in the COPACE office. Please see the academic calendar for specific dates and refund percentages. Alumni Enrichment, 60 or older and Friends of COPACE scholarships are non-refundable except in the case of a course cancelled by COPACE.
Lab courses and some off-campus programs may involve a special fee. Please note that the audit option is not available for all courses, and audit status must be declared when registering for a course.
