Health Services
The Clark University Health Services is a primary care outpatient clinic offering a variety of services and programs including:
ï Diagnosis and treatment of acute and sub-acute episodic illnesses and injuries
ï Ongoing and follow-up care of pre-existing chronic conditions such as diabetes, asthma, colitis, etc.
ï Diagnostic laboratory testing
ï Contraceptive counseling and gynecological services
ï Sexually transmitted disease (STD) health education
ï Immunization to prevent diseases
ï Desensitization (allergy injections)
ï Sports medicine
ï Stress reduction
ï HIV/AIDS education
ï Eating disorders and nutrition counseling
ï Smoking cessation
The Health Service is located on the first floor of the Wright Hall at 30 Downing Street (across from the Goddard Library) and is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There are no services during the summer or school vacations.
Clinic services are provided by nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians and support staff. Physicians affiliated with major teaching hospitals in the Worcester area are present in the Health Service every day.
COPACE students can make an appointment at Health Services by calling 508-793-7467. Visits are charged on a fee-for-service basis and can be billed to medical insurance if all information is provided. Please call the Health Service department if you have any questions.
Health Insurance Information and Guidelines
Massachusetts law mandates that all full time matriculating students must enroll in a qualifying health insurance plan, or certify that have complete coverage in another plan. Massachusetts law also mandates all full time matriculating students must be immunized for MMR (mumps, measles and rubella) and tetanus/diphtheria. Call Health Services for additional information.
